2 Cans Pie Filling
½ pkg. Yellow Cake Mix
1 Egg
Water or Milk
Use a 10 inch Dutch oven. Pour pie filling into the Dutch oven. Combine cake mix, egg and enough water or milk to make a batter the consistency of pancake batter. Pour cake mixture on top of filling. Place lid on Dutch oven and bake with coals on top and bottom for approximately 15 minutes. (We've found it takes double the time to cook.)
Remove oven from fire, and continue cooking from top only for an additional 10 to 20 minutes or until cobbler is done and golden brown.
